fish, fish, fish
Well today looks like the last dry day that we will have for awhile, So Brodie and I went to Laurel Park with Joe today. Laurel really feels like home, even though I was only there for a few months almost three years ago. Brodie loves going there, usually when we go there we spend most of the time in the Jock's room. Brodie just loves Adam, the clerk of scales. He also loves the equicizer and all the jocks love to put him on it. After the races we went down to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore and went to the National Aquarium.

Bass Pro Shop
Today we went to Laurel Park with Joe, After the races we went to eat at the Mall. Inside the mall was a Bass Pro Shop, I think Brodie and Joe were wanting to hide out in the camping section so they could stay the night. The store had a giant fish tank with really big bass, and the most real looking rock climbing wall that I have seen.

working and bubbles
Earlier this week, we went out in the morning with Joe. Unfortunately this is the only picture that I got while we were at Fair Hill. Brodie was so bundled up that he could barely walk, but he loved it anyway. I think we will try to go out at least one morning a week, Brodie could watch horses train all day long.

Surgery update
Yesterday we went to AI Dupont for a check up. They did an EKG, and ECHO, and Brodie had to get some blood work done. Everything looks as good if not better than the doctors could hope for. However Brodie is still way under sized, so they have pushed back his next surgery until he reaches 22 lbs. Currently Brodie is 15 months old and weighs 18 lbs 6 oz. Guessing by his past weight gains, it looks like surgery will be around May. After all of the exams were over Dr. Goudie wanted to send Brodie home with a Holter Electrocardiogram that had to stay on for 24 hours, so that they could better monitor how well his heart is working. Brodie was such a trooper, I could not be any more proud of him. All total we were there for 4 hours, which is a super long time for a 15 month old. He just acted like he knew it had to be done, so he didn't complain. When they drew blood he cried a little, but stopped as soon as it was done. The nurse bandaged his arm and gave him two stickers. Brodie got off of the chair and walked over to the kid sitting next to us and gave him one of his stickers, then gave him a hi five and walked out like nothing ever happened. He is the toughest kid I have ever seen, he definitely didn't get that from me. I passed out at three of my pre-natal appointments, but it's safe to say that Brodie has cured me of my doctor phobia. This is the Holter that he had to wear, we took it off at 12:30pm and celebrated with a sunday.

Home all day
So as I have mentioned before, Brodie and I have been spending a lot of time in the house. It is just too cold outside and I am terrified of Brodie getting sick. So for my New Years post, I figured I would show you what we do when we get snowed in.

My very own kitchen
Since we have come home from Florida, Brodie and I have barely left the house. It has been absolutely freezing here. Yesterday it got up to 40 degrees so Brodie and I ventured out. We came home with a mini kitchen for Brodie. And if you have had us over to your house, you would know that he obsessed with pots and pans and anything that looks like it could be used for stirring. My mom says she is still tracking down all of her utensils.
