Last Fall/Winter my kids really got into celebrating the seasons and holidays. Our house is now fully decorated from Halloween to Easter. The boys look so forward to changing the fireplace and they take their "head decorator" jobs very seriously. We also made some other changes in our house. Since the boys were already on a decorating kick, they decided that they needed a "big boy" room. Apparently dinosaurs are for babies and they are no longer are into that.
Happy Halloween
Joe and Brodie both wanted to be Darth Vader
Luke was a Gorilla, and I was a Zoo Keeper
Thanksgiving
This year we didn't get as much snow as the boys would've liked. But that didn't stop them from playing in it as much as they could

Beginning the Big boy changes
This star process almost drove me insane
We bought original vintage Star Wars ship models and built them
This whole wall was dark stained wood before. So much lighter now, and some day my hands will recover from all the sanding
We hung the ships and added little touches around the room
One light side
One Dark side
Then we went to Build a Bear and let the boys make their own stuffed animals for their beds
Thank goodness Star Wars was so popular last year because we literally found everything that we wanted

And now they have a Big Boy room
We went to the Louisville slugger Museum and had them make a bat for Gabi

Meeting Santa at the Galt House
Our family is really into The Elf on the Shelf. So Christmas morning Joe thought that it would be funny to take his place. The boys laughed forever about this.
Max and Halo got new winter coats from our Elf too
