The Poconos

Today we went to the Poconos with Joe's Parents, Tiff, Jed and kids. The ski resort was about two hours from were we live, so we left around 6:00.
Brodie was not really thrilled about being up so early

Joe's mom watched Brodie for a little bit so that I could ski with Joe
Brodie hung out in the lodge, roughing it with a personal DVD player

Joe's dad taught Dulaney how to ski
With in an hour she went down a real slope with us

Horsey Love

A few days ago Brodie met aunt Tina and Uncle Duane, they gave Brodie lots of cute clothes, but more importantly they gave Brodie his new HORSEY. Since then he hasn't put it down. He hugs it he rubs it, and he sucks on it. Well we thought it was cute enough to be blog-worthy. I'm sure you'll feel the same.

Randomness

Here are some random pictures from December and January. I have not done much updating lately due to the cold weather, we have been staying inside.

New cousin

Last night Joe's little sister Brittany had her baby, Gabriel Saez Jr. is 6lbs 5oz. that is the exact same weight that Brodie was. I guess i forgot that Brodie was ever that small. Today we had a doctor's appointment, so after we were done we went upstairs to meet the new baby. He was adorable, and looks just like Gabby.

2008 in review

This year started out with us living in our favorite place in the world, Tampa. We spent lots of days fishing and BBQing.

Joe and I got a kayak that we would take out into the Gulf of Mexico, where Joe once caught a baby Hammerhead shark. I of course freaked out and discovered that I have a fear of pretty much everything in the open water.

We got married at my parents farm in Ocala. We had a ton of fun, and two of my best friends Hills and loryn flew out from texas and California to spend the day with us. Thank you girls I love you.

We moved to Delaware in April, and I temporarily became Joe's agent. Then I happily handed that duty over to Kid, since I was seven months pregnant by then. Joe had a great meet and he ended up second leading rider at Delaware park. Brodie and I are very proud of you honey.

Last but not least on October 7th we had out little angel Brodie. He has already had his share of struggles, but he hasn't let that effect him. He is the strongest little guy. Thank you to all of our friends and family for all of your support. We really appreciate it, and we know it has been tough of everyone.

Home for Christmas

Brodie got out of the ICU on Monday the 22nd. It didn't take long for him to get back to his happy self. However he does seem to be in more pain after this surgery than the first one. But that should all go away in about a week.

Being in the hospital for so long, makes you hate anything that looks like it was hospital issued, so Joe and I decided that we were going to make blankets for all the kids in the cardiac unit for Christmas.

Brodie and his "sleigh" getting reading to pass out all of our presents, we made 14 blankets for all the kids in Inpatient and the CICU.

On Christmas Eve our doctor surprised us with the best Christmas present of all. He said that we were getting discharged and that we would be spending Christmas at home. I think that Brodie was the most excited about being home. His little eyes lit up right away and he just couldn't stop smiling. That was followed by the longest nap i have ever seen him take.

What a spoiled boy
