Three Little Monkeys
Joe is all healed up and back riding, which means yesterday we were all at Delaware park to watch him ride. Dulaney, Baden and Brodie were so cute playing together. They had a blast chasing each other around the grove area.

The Terrible Twos
On Thursday little Brodie turned two years old. We had a small party for him at the house. We had been talking about his birthday coming up, but we went sure that he understood. Until Thursday morning when he woke up screaming "I TWO!!!" He had a great day of bossing everyone around.

I Help
Brodie has learned very quickly how to manipulate me. Now when ever I say "no Brodie you can't do that" he says "Peas mommy, I Help" and then I give in and let him help me. At first it made me nervous to let him do much around the barn, but it turns out that he is quite the helper.

The Boss
For a little over a week now, we have been training a horse. We Have A Problem, Brodie has decided that he now owns/trains the horse. He calls him HAP or sometimes HAPPY, and it is pretty much all he talks about. HAP this and HAP that, he even says night, night HAP every night while laying in bed. Brodie just loves being around horses, especially his horse. He also just loves coming out in the morning and being a complete barn rat. He has his own little routine, he checks on HAP, plays with Juan's goat and chicken, rides the Nunleys pony. The kid comes home absolutely filthy, and he loves it. On Tuesday We Have A Problem ran and won, which sent Brodie into an emotional roller coaster. I take a lot of the blame for that because I got him pretty wound up before the race. During the race Brodie alternated yelling "go HAP" and "Go Da". After the race we stood on the track as Da jogged HAP back, and Brodie continued to Yell "YAY!!!DA!!!" at the top of his lungs. Then when we walked back in to the grand stand, Brodie began yelling "I WON THAT" and hi five-ing everyone in sight. Then began the "YAY, YAY, YAY'S" This lasted for the next hour or so. By 7:00pm Brodie was alternating laughing hysterically, and sobbing crying. I am pretty sure that it was the best day of his life.
While I was getting my license, they asked me what my horse's name was. When I said We Have a Problem, Brodie started yelling "my horse" so they also licensed him.

Nanny and Poppie
Last week we took a trip to Fredrick Maryland to visit Nanny, Poppie and the Canters. We had a great visit. Nanny made Brodie a tea drinker, and Poppie showed us a bunch of old win pictures. While we were there Brodie took advantage of Aunt Tina's hospitality and emptied out all of her kitchen cabinets. Brodie and also found a new best friend in Kieran, or Keen and Brodie calls him. Thank you Tina, Duane, Nanny and Poppie for the great time we had with you.
