Merry Christmas

This year we had a very uneventful (compared to last year) pleasant Christmas. All day long I kept going back to where we were last year, staying in the hospital recovering from open heart surgery. When the doctor's came in early evening and told us we could go home and enjoy Christmas. I remember thinking that was the greatest present of all. Even this year it just seemed like a blessing to be home. I don't think Christmas will ever be the same for us. Brodie woke up this year to a tree full of presents, at first he didn't seem to care, until we unwrapped one and he discovered that they were toys. After that he was all about Christmas. His favorite present seems to be a mini vacuum that Joe and I got him. He loves when I vacuum, for the past couple of months he follows the vacuum with a large ice scraper making his own vacuum noise. So we know it would be a hit.

Unwrapping presents
Finally a vacuum of his own
If it only worked I would be a happy mama
Thank you Heather
I must say a toy bucket was a great idea Tina, all these new toys and now a place to put them

Daddy finally using his tools
Brodie now has his own private entrance to his room
We went to dinner at Brit and Gabi's. At some point the living room turned into a dance party for little girls
Baby Gabi took his first steps today
Brodie helped him to perfect his walking skills by pushing him around in the plane
I think they are going to be good friends, like a mini Jason and Jower
This year I made all the cousins blankets for Christmas

Florida

This is definitely my longest post ever, but we had so much fun at the farm in Florida that it just wouldn't do it justice by downsizing. My mom loved having Brodie there, it only took her three days to call her Maam'a. Although it only took one day to say Coop'a (Cooper is a dog). He loved the farm, the dogs, and the horses. I am pretty sure that he was ready to move in. The first night we stayed with Brittany, and she said that we cured her of ever wanting a baby. What can I say, Brodie is a wild man but I wouldn't have him any other way.
I think the foals liked Brodie just as much as he liked them

The best tire swing ever
He got bored on his third lap, so we gave him a whip
He was so serious about whipping this tire horse

Did I mention that this kid is fearless? Watching this video, it's no wonder why he has been so strong throughout all of his surgeries. If you pause the music at the bottom of the page, you and hear him giggling

Back Home

We got home last night from Florida, and today Nany, poppy, Heather, and Wayne came up to visit before Christmas. We didn't get to spend too much time with them, but I am so happy that we got to see them. Thank you for coming up, we love you.
