My Old Kentucky Home

Well we are finally all settled into our new "old" Kentucky home.  We love it here.  It a beautiful little home on three acres with a private pond.  Since it has just started warming up here, the property get more green everyday.  I can't wait to see it in another month from now.  And since so many of you have been asking me to email pictures, I figured that I would just make it into a blog post.  So here it finally is Nanny, sorry it took so long.
This year Brodie and his truck were a big help moving in

Max has claimed this spot for himself
The boys got bunk beds

at least one time a day they are turned into a cave/fort/spaceship.
We put up swings for the boys
Our chicken Coop and and garden, we are waiting for warmer weather to buy the chickens
Luke's new favorite nap spot

even though we bought two swings, this is how they prefer to use them

Max thinks that he is a water dog

Three days ago we woke up to find the first little nest of geese has hatched, in total I have spotted four other nest.  They are so cute and the people who lived here before us spoiled them so they have no fear of us or Max.

Sleep overs and Easter

Sorry for the lack of posting lately, but for our little family and our Gypsy live style it was that time of year again.  Time to leave Miami and head north.  This time instead of heading back to Delaware like we usually do, we packed up and moved to Kentucky.  Joe did so well there last fall, and the racing is thriving in the mid-west, so it seemed like the best long term move for us.  Usually when it's time to leave I spend about a week packing, while testing the absolute limits of little boys patience.  This year however we changed things up.  I drove the boys to Meema's house and went back to Miami by myself.  It was really strange for me because I am never away from my boys.  But I must admit packing went by in a flash and the boys were spoiled rotten by my parents, so overall I am chalking it up to a win/win.  In total they spent three days with Meema and Poppie and I got back late Saturday night, just in time for Easter.
The boys helping out with feeding
Luke is Poppie's little Buddy
Talk about being wrapped around his finger, notice the foot massage he is insisting on while drinking his milk
Easter morning, these lucky boys had a basket from mommy and daddy and one from Meema and Poppie

Serious egg hunting was going on
Luke screaming because he spotted that egg first

poor Luke tried so hard to keep up with his brother that he kept tripping and losing his eggs

He thought it was great

I love my happy, crazy boys
The next day we made the 13 hr drive to Louisville.  These kids are world class travelers.  Not one complaint the whole trip
