North East, MD

Today was a dark day at Delaware Park, so we got to spend the whole day together. We went to a really cute little town called North East, Md. They have a state park there that backs up to the bay. It was a really pretty park, we played in the sand for awhile and went in the water. They also had a really neat playground all made from recycled tires. Brodie had a blast, after spending a few hours there, we went in town to eat dinner. North East is a really small novelty town that looks like nothing has changed in 60 years or so. At the risk of sounding dorky, it looks just like the town from Gilmore Girls.

It was late when we got home, so Brodie got a quick bath in the sink.

Presque Isle

On Thursday night we left Delaware at 9:00 pm and drove six and a half hours to Presque Isle. Joe rode my favorite horse, Diplomatic Charm in a stake race on Friday. We finished second and Joe flew home on Saturday morning so that he could ride in Del. Brodie and I stayed until Tuesday morning, so that we could spend time with Grandpa and Auntie Brit. I was nervous about driving home 6hours by myself, but Brodie was amazing, I think he knew I was by myself so he decided to be a good boy.

First Hair Cut

For the last couple of weeks, Brodie's hair has been growing like crazy. While we were in Presque Isle, I finally had enough. I was driving around and I found a Barber shop that had a big sign for kids haircuts, so we went in.

Water Logged

Today we went swimming in our apartments pool. Brodie absolutely loves the water, he stayed in for about an hour. Joe's parents (Nana and Da) came over, and Joe's sister Britt came over with her son Gabi. We had a blast in the pool, and by the time we got Brodie out he was all wrinkled up like a raisin. After swimming we BBQ hamburgers.

Rehoboth Beach

Since Brodie enjoyed his trip to Ocean City so much, we decided to take him back to the beach. This time we went to Rehoboth Beach in Delaware. I think it was the most crowded beach I have ever been to. He lit up as soon as we got out of the car and Brodie saw the sand. I could very possibly have a serious beach bum on my hands.
We were lucky to even find a spot

On our way home we stopped at a sushi place. Brodie loved vegetable tempura

Of all things, the broccoli was his favorite. He definitely doesn't get that from me

Ocean City

On Wednesday night after the races we jumped in the car and went to Ocean City, MD. It is our favorite beach. We stayed in a nice ocean front room on the boardwalk. We were hoping that Brodie would be old enough to like the beach. The first time we took him he was only four months old, and he hated it. This time he couldn't get enough, he was absolutely fearless. He loved the sand, the ocean, and the pool. Sometimes i forget that he is only ten months, he acts like such a big boy.
