Playdates and Racetracks

Yesterday Brodie had his first little friend over to play, his cousin Gabi. They were very cute together, and Brodie was trying really hard to act as old as he could to help baby Gabi. He also took the time to ham it up for the camera.

He really likes taking pictures

Heart Walk

HI everyone, I have started a team for Wilmington's Heart walk. We are officially team "Brodie Bear" . Now all we need are some team-mates, so get your walking shoes and join us. The walk is Sunday September 13th. It begins down at the Wilmington waterfront. I believe that it is a 11 mile walk. We feel very fortunate that Brodie has done so well through the two heart surgeries that he has had, however not all problems are fixable, yet. So the money we raise by walking will go to pediatric cardiac research. If you think that you can walk with us please let me know, because we have to order all of the shirts. I know September is a while from now, so i will probably re-post this a couple of times between now and then. Also, I am pretty sure that you can still walk under team "Brodie Bear" in other cities too, but the dates may vary so if you are interested in doing this let me know and I will find a date and location near you.

Big boy

For the last two weeks our little guy has been taking some mighty big steps. All of a sudden he wants to try to stand up all the time, he has also started eating baby foods. He wouldn't eat the rice cereals, so the doctor said that we could try stage one foods. Carrots are by far his favorite. We also got him a doorway swing, which is way too big for him(he still only weighs 9lbs 11oz.) but he likes it anyway.

My funny Valentine

So our little Brodie has always been very animated, however lately the little guy has been out-doing himself. His new favorite thing to do is laugh, and he definitely has his own kind of humor. Currently poopie diapers are just about the funniest thing there is. What can I say, he is all boy.

Yeah for Gamma

Brodie had a very exciting week, My mom(Gamma) and Brother came into town to visit us. My mom hasn't seen Brodie since he was four days old, and my brother had not met him yet. Gamma couldn't wait to win over Brodie's affection with a lollipop.
