Great Year

Well 2010 is almost done and over all it was a great year. 2011 is going to bring a lot of changes, Joe, Brodie and I will be living in Hot Springs, AR. I am actually really excited for the Oaklawn meet, mostly to just be somewhere new for a little while. Another big change is that Britt and Scott got engaged on Christmas Eve and will be getting married sometime in July. Brodie has completed all the surgeries that his heart required, and is currently medication free. I have really high hopes for 2011, and I will try to be better about blogging more regularly. Happy New Year everyone.
Scott popping the question
I am not sure that he actually got to ask the full question before she shoved her finger in the ring and shouted yes
Brodie on Christmas morning with his new bike
Brodie also got a ton of toy story toys and these super cute P.J's

It was so nice to spend Christmas in Ocala with Mema and Poppie, unfortunately when we got here Brodie and I were horribly sick. So we actually spent all of Christmas laying around coughing our heads off. Joe had to leave for Oaklawn a few days after Christmas so little Brodie and I have just been here in Ocala recooperating. Finally we are feeling better, but around here that means getting to work

No Man Left Behind

Let me just start by saying that I am so sick of packing. It feels like that is all I have been doing lately. If you wondering why it has been taking me so long to finish packing, that would be because of my little "helper" Brodie. For every one box I pack he manages to unpack two. So needless to say a lot gets done while the little angel is sleeping. I do have a few distractions for my little guy, first is Nana, who has been coming over to play with Brodie for a few hours, and second is Toy Story 3, his new obsession. Every day as the house gets more and more empty, three items seem to be more and more constant. They are Woody, Buzz and Rex. I think that Brodie thinks that if he lets them out of sight, mommy might pack them. So instead, they just go everywhere with him.
After watching the movie for the ten millionth time he started checking out the bottom of their feet. So we wrote Brodie's name on them. Now he checks their feet twenty times a day and smiles

One of the reasons that packing has been taking so long. Pause the music at the bottom of the page to here Brodie call me to come find him

If you can't understand him he is explaining that he was "just hiding"

I am sorry that it has been so long since I posted anything. It seems like every free second I have, I am packing and cleaning to leave for Oaklawn. This month has really snuck up on me. I started getting every ones Christmas cards in the mail and realized that we hadn't even taken pictures yet. So I tried to go to Baby's R Us last night, but they were all booked up. So instead we taped up a black sheet in the house, I gave Brodie a real quick hair cut and then ran back and forth hitting the self timer switch on my camera. So cards should be out soon.

This is my personal favorite, he would try to smile so big that it made his eyes close

Not only was Brodie great while taking the pics, but when we were done he wanted to take some more. So I got out some stuff and let him keep saying Cheese for another twenty minutes or so

I call this one "Blue Steel"
