The Calm

Brodie's next surgery is scheduled for Wednesday June 3rd, which mean that we will be spending the next two week in the hospital. So today we thought that we should spend the whole day outside. We went to our favorite park today to lay under the trees and take a nap. We were very surprised to find out that the geese have had babies since the last time we were there. Luckily we brought bagels for them.

We fed the geese until Brodie got tired of sharing

Table for two and a High Chair!!!

That's right I said high chair. Where did my little baby go? He wants to be a big boy so bad. So the other night Joe and I went out to dinner. Dinner used to be so easy, we would get a table and Brodie would fall asleep in his car seat on the booth and he would sleep through the whole thing. Lately dinner has been a little more complicated. He HATES his car seat, so that's out. he ONLY wants big boy food, so clear everything out of his reach. So we thought that we would try a high chair. Brodie thought he was so special, he just kept smiling and laughing, by the end of dinner he had made sure that he had gotten the attention of every table around us. Then he passed out in the car and slept for an hour. I guess showing off is exhausting.

The Baileys and DC

Yesterday, Brodie and I drove down to meet up with the Baileys. Loryn and I became best friends in the fourth grade and I think that I spend half of my nights sleeping over at their house. I was so happy to find out that they were going to be in DC and that they would get to meet Brodie. They are my second family and I absolutely love them.

Anyone up for some shopping?

Because Brodie is now ready to go shopping. No more sitting in a baby seat, he can sit up like a big boy. For a little while now his hatred of the car seat has been growing bigger and bigger. Now he will tolerate it in the car, but only in the car. We cant even bring it into the house anymore, as far as Brodie is concerned it is just a torture device.

Shopping is exhausting

Presque Isle

On Sunday, Joe had to go up to Presque Isle to ride Hi Times Scott. We all flew up together, and Brodie and I stayed for a few extra days to spend time with grandpa and auntie. Brodie has grown up so much since our last trip. this time he wanted to sit in his own seat like a big boy.

Were Back Online

Well if you have been wondering why I seem to have abandoned the blog, it's because our computer broke. But now we have a new computer, so the updates should be more regular again. This week Delaware Park started back up, and we were so excited to be able to go to the track again.
