Family Fun

We absolutely love living in Kentucky, but every once in a while Brodie will say how much he misses playing with his cousins.  Lucky for him, we got to see lots of family this month.  Joe's parents and Gabi came for a week to visit.  Also Trinity, Kyle and Owen were near by visiting Kyle's parents so we also got to see them.  We have had so much fun the last two weeks, now it's time to get organized and get down to Miami.

Surpirse

Last week we surprised the kids with a quick get away to Great Wolf Lodge.  Joe was given days, so we planned the trip and didn't tell the boys anything about it.  We had a normal day and picked Brodie up from school and stated driving to Ohio.  Part way up we told them where we were going.  They were screaming like crazy and Brodie said it was the greatest day of his life.  He's quite dramatic.

Still excited when we arrived

deliriously happy

Usually this place is packed, but because it was on a school day it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves

Yee Haw

This year it feels like we have been celebrating Halloween for the entire month of October.  At first we thought that we might miss Halloween because of the Breeders Cup, so we found every trick or treating activity in town.  Its a good thing we did, because even though we ended up not going to California, we still got rained out for trick or treating.  We had the most awful storm roll in and no one was able to go outside.  As an alternative the news said the mall was holding a trick or treat. We went, apparently with the rest of Louisville.  It was the most chaotic event I have ever been to.  The whole place was a mess.  We stayed about an hour and then had to get out of there.  Fortunately we heard that some of the communities are holding there event tonight.  so the boys and I will try again.  Minus last nights failure we have had a blast, here is some of our fun.
