Elmo's World

Yesterday Brodie and I went to Sesame Place. Unfortunately Brodie is still too small to ride most of the rides, but I think his favorite part was just seeing the characters anyways. We watched three different live shows that they had. Brodie was absolutely mesmerized, he could have sat there all day. I am going to find some children theaters around here now that I know how much he likes it.
We got there just in time to catch the early parade

Abby is his favorite, we searched the whole park for her but only got to see her in shows

County Fair

It's fair time again at Fairhill, so last night we took Brodie to the fair to play games and ride some rides. Nana and Da met us there and walked around the fair with us. I rode on the zipper for the first time since I was a kid and am happy and surprised to say that I did not get sick.
Playing a fishing game with Joe
This ride was surprisingly fast
Seeing the cows with Da
Brodie didn't want to leave the cows, he was there so long that the 4-h kids said that Brodie could go in and pet them
Me and Brodie with the fish that Nana won him. We named him Willy-live, because Brodie shook the bag a couple of times. I am sorry to report that Willy was belly up this morning in the tank.
Me and Brodie won the race on the super slide against Da

Adventure Aquarium

Today Brodie and I drove up to New Jersey to the Adventure Aquarium. Brodie had so much fun he did not want to leave. I knew he would like the aquarium because he is currently obsessed with fish. He walked around there with the biggest smile on his face, while saying "fish!" about every two minutes. I thought it would eventually stop, but no it lasted for the whole three hours that we were there. I was so glad we went, I am sure we will be back soon.
Me and Brodie holding a turtle
Eating lunch at the food court, he was just excited to see fish painted on the wall
He got even more excited when he found out that there were real fish there
Deliriously happy

Watching the sea horses
Watching the scuba divers show
This hammerhead shark was all over the place
he loved this big statue of a turtle
The penguin exhibit

Brodie got to pet this shark
we watched them feed the Purana's. they striped a t-bone in about 30 seconds

He also loved the Hippos

Joe's Birthday

Yesterday was Joe's 28th birthday, we tried to make the best of it considering that he is in a brace with a fractured neck. I had bought Joe tickets to see his favorite singer Jack Johnson about four months ago. Then when he got hurt I wasn't sure that we were going to be able to go, but he wanted to see him so bad that we got a babysitter for Brodie and went anyways. Originally we had lawn seats, so we brought a little fold up lawn chair for Joe to sit in, unfortunate when we got there they said that the concert was over sold and we could not bring a chair because there was only standing room. I showed them Joe's big brace and told them it was his birthday, the guards were so nice they took our tickets and gave us much better seats in the pavilion so that Joe could sit down. The concert was amazing, Jack Johnson is even better live than his CD. We also spoiled Joe with some other gifts, he got some new Pumas, a jacket and a Nook (and electrical book from Barnes and Noble that you download books right to.) so no more trips to the book store.
At the concert
This is where we were suppose to be
These are the seats that the guards gave us
this was our first non-Brodie date since he was born

He still managed a smile be the end of the night so I think it was a success

Delaware Childrens Museum

Yesterday I took Brodie to the brand new Children's museum. I have been waiting for it to open, it is only ten minutes from where we live. Brodie had so much fun in there that we bought a season pass. They have special activities everyday for the kids, like story time scavenger hunts, and all kinds of fun games. I think it will be a perfect place for us to go when it is too hot or too cold to play outside.
Driving the boat
Playing with the water dams
This boy was so nice he played this game for a while with Brodie. I think its so funny that Brodie has no idea how tiny he is
Brodie helped this kid put a race car together
I showed him how to do the first nut
and he did the other three
then he had to add oil
Apparently a lot of oil was needed
his favorite part was the food section, first they picked the food from the garden
then sold it to the grocery store
Then he went food shopping with the money he got for selling his veggies
then he took it to the kitchen to make some food

as you can tell he ran all of the other kids out of the kitchen. He may be little but I am pretty sure that Brodie will never get picked on. He is one tough kid
