Heart Walk 2012

This years Heart Walk was absolutely perfect.  We had the best weather and great company.  Brodie walked almost the entire 5k and he loved all the attention that he was getting from everyone.  We ran into some of Brodie's nurses, but Brodie was too busy to talk.  Every time someone would try to start a conversation with him, he would say, "I'm walking to my own Beat."  He said that his favorite part was that everyone had his name on their shirts.
Filling up before the walk

Luke just enjoyed all the people watching

Deep Creek Lake

This past week we rented a lake house at Deep Creek Lake in western Maryland and spent the whole week playing in the water.  The weather was beautiful and the kids had a blast.  This might sound bad to say, but I am so glad that Joe got days, because that is the only way we can go on vacation.
Me, Joe, Luke, Uncle Jed, Gabi, Brodie, Dulaney, Nana, Baden, Tiff, and Da

My happy Little Luke just smiled the whole time
Brodie got to be the first tuber.  Those swim classes he's been taking has made him much braver in the water

Summer Fun

July has been so hot and humid here on the east coast that it has slowed up our outdoor activities lately.  But as soon as the heat breaks, we run outside and fit in as many activities as we can.
Brodie and his cousins on the Fourth of July waiting for fireworks
Luke and Brice playing with the glow sticks
This year we got sparklers for the kids
Baden might have been the biggest fan of that addition
Joe wanted to go fishing, but Brodie wanted to play in the water
Clearly Joe and I have very little control over our activities

He still comes downstairs as a different super hero every morning
Me and Luke on Delaware Oaks day
This was too cute not to share.  Luke is becoming increasingly more talkative everyday.  He is finding voice and now one of his favorite things to do is yell "Dad, Dad, Dadaaaa." at the TV when Joe is racing.  It's hilarious to see in person, the people at the track get a kick out of it.  Enjoy.
